2 Corinthians 4:16 - What does meaning ?
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
In 2 Corinthians 4:16, the Apostle Paul encourages believers not to lose heart, despite the struggles and hardships they face. He acknowledges that outwardly, we may be experiencing decay or difficulties, but inwardly, there is renewal happening day by day. This verse emphasizes the contrast between our physical bodies, which are perishable and subject to weakness, and our inner spiritual life, which is continually being renewed and strengthened by God. Paul's message speaks to the fact that life in this world can be challenging. We may face afflictions, illnesses, or persecution. However, as believers, we are reminded that there is more to life than what we experience physically. Our faith and our relationship with Christ are internal sources of strength that the world cannot take from us, and through the Holy Spirit, we are constantly being made new, regardless of the outward circumstances. Ultimately, this verse is a call to have an eternal perspective. While our outer self may be wasting away, God is doing a transforming work within us, preparing us for the eternal glory that far outweighs our temporary troubles. It reminds us to fix our eyes not on the visible and temporary, but on the unseen and eternal
